Effective July 1, 2015, Tennessee laws regarding weight have changed.
Oversize loads with weights up to 150,000 pounds will now be allowed 46,000 pounds on a tandem on a single trip oversize load permit only. Loads will not be allowed to exceed 40,000 pounds on a tandem on an annual permit or if you exceed 150,000 pounds gross weight. Cost per ton mile is going from $.05 per ton mile to $.06 Fee for having weight will go from $15 to $20.
