PA Turnpike: Special Hauling Permit Changes

Posted on

In November, the PA Turnpike will launch a new website with a different look and feel, but will be offline for up to 60 hours during the transition.

Trucking and permit companies, like WCS Permits, that use the Special Hauling Permit system for overweight/over-dimensional vehicles should be aware that the system will be offline for roughly 48 to 60 hours during an upcoming November weekend as we transition to the new platform. While the specific weekend has not yet been finalized, we’re asking carriers to plan for the interruption — do not delay your permit application.

Avoid attempting system logins on weekends beginning Nov. 12 and possibly subsequent weekends.  You will be alerted to the specific timing of this change next week. Please note, there will be no changes to the actual permit requirements or fees. You will be able to use the same login credentials to access your account, and all your historical data will be available in the new permit system. Additional information will be coming soon.

While the new, customer-driven site may have a different look, all the information you rely on will still be here. In fact, the new will make it easier to find what you need no matter how you browse the web.

WCS Permits is working close with the PA Turnpike on these updates and can advise customers on any updates.
