The Montana Senate Natural Resources Committee will vote today on a bill that would exempt oversize loads from having to undergo a review under the Montana Environmental Policy Act (MEPA).
In addition to obtaining oversize load permits, the current process also requires an environmental checklist.
After House Bill 513 is voted upon by law makers, the Montana Department of Transportation will change its process for oversize load permitting.
