Kansas is suffering from major wildfires and all of the counties combined have burned for over 170,000 acres.

Among the biggest county to burn is Reno County, which estimates 6,000 acres have burned.

Additional counties, including Clark, Ellis, Ellsworth, Hodgeman, Lincoln, Reno, Rooks and Russell are battling active fires, and all have resulted in road closures, some affecting oversize load travel.

These fires are a result of recent high winds.
