Easter is observed on Sunday, April 20 in Canada, and like the U.S., there are some oversize travel restrictions in place on Easter and the days leading up to the holiday.
Here’s a list of oversize load restrictions by Canadian province.
Alberta
No travel allowed if over 3.85m wide from 3:00pm on 04/17 and all day 04/18 and 04/20
British Columbia
No travel allowed if over 31.0m long & 3.80m wide after 3:30pm on 04/17, 04/18 until 12:01 am on
04/20.
Saskatchewan
No travel allowed if over 3.85m wide, 42m long, or 9m rear effective overhang after 3:00pm on
04/17, after 12 noon on 04/18, and after 12 noon on 04/20.
Manitoba
Vehicles exceeding 3.7 m in width or 31 m in length are not allowed to travel on 04/17 from 4:00pm to midnight or on 04/18 from 12 PM to midnight.
New Brunswick
If over 3.65m wide and/or 30m long, no travel after 3:00pm on 04/17 & after noon on 04/20.
Newfoundland/Labrador
No travel allowed if over 3.65m wide after 3:00pm on 04/17 until sunrise the 21st, unless
otherwise stated on permit.
Northwest Territories and the Yukon
No special travel restrictions.
Ontario
If under annual dimensions, no travel after noon on 04/18.
If over annual dimensions, but under 4.99m wide, 45.75m long, or CSEP escort load for weight, no travel allowed after noon on 04/18 until sunrise on 04/19; all other loads no travel after noon on 04/17 until sunrise on 04/21.
Prince Edward Island
No special travel restrictions.
Quebec
No travel allowed on 04/18 or 04/20.
